Description
I drew my custom Avatar from Sonic Forces because I love that Sega added a create your own furry feature! Just what the internet needed, more OC Sonic fan art! Here she is in game! ΒI drew her with a super distracting booty that I'm sure Sonic appreciated when double boosting.
Anybody like the game? It let me put a wolf girl in high heels and skin tight clothes so it's cool in my book! :3
More furry fan art I drew!

Thanks! I don't usually draw in this style so I had no idea if that smile would come off as creepy or not~

I know most people bash the Sonic fandom as a whole for the large amount of Sonic OCs.
But the one thing they can't take away from Sonic OCs is that they are always very fun to create.

Damn straight! I didn't even have much interest in Sonic until I saw all the cool character creation stuff in Forces. Last time I played was back with Sonic 06. I was surprised how much fun Forces was!

If you liked Sonic Force, then I strongly suggest you check out the IDW Sonic Comics.
They are quite the fun read with great art and writing.
I also love the two new female characters introduced into the comics, Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf.

If you ask me, I think the reason that people like to create Sonic fan characters is because they happen to be animals, and animal characters are always a lot more fun to create than boring human characters for sure.
π: 0 β©: 1
CatCouch In reply to CoolCSD1986 [2017-12-30 10:17:58 +0000 UTC]
That's probably true. I enjoy making less human characters if I can. I almost always play as Argonians in Elder Scrolls games!

CoolCSD1986 In reply to CatCouch [2017-12-30 17:12:07 +0000 UTC]
After realizing that humans aren't the only type of characters to play as, I'm kinda tempted to try out the Elder Scrolls series just like I was with the Saints Row series, since that was a game series in which you customize your own character to your liking, which is always a lot of fun.

I loved the character creator in Saints Row, particularly 3 and 4. One of the best art styles in gaming!
I love playing as Argonian in Skyrim now, I used to always pick some type of human but once it dawned on me I could role play as Lifter Her Tail, the lusty Argonian maid, I never went back. I've got 3 Argonian playthroughs over the years.

The create a character was a huge draw for me! I'm planning on picking it up here soon. I know it's nowhere near as good as we hoped, but I think I'll still enjoy it. I'm mostly upset about the fact Infinite is so wasted. He had the potential to be such a memorable and cheesey edgelord villain, but alas, completely underutilized.

I'm really enjoying grinding challenge missions for more customization parts. It's rewarding while going after trophies. There's one for achieving highest honors for all races you can create characters out of. That's a long grind.
I had very low expectations going in since the reviews were so bad and it was being compared to Mario Odyssey. My last Sonic game was Sonic '06 so forces actually exceeded my expectations by being fun! I mean, I drew fan art of it and not Mario Odyssey (yet)~

I'll admit it's a bit of a bias for me. Sonic Adventure 2 is legit one of my favorite games of all time. It is by no means perfect and there are a ton of flaws, but when they come together it's like a beautiful train wreck. I just love it to death. It's difficult for any other sonic game that comes after to live up to that.
Although one HUGE credit I can give to forces is that I am legitimately in love with Infinite's theme song. It's so fucking dumb and edgy and amazing and I love every fucking second of it.

I played little bits of Sonic before the Dreamcast but not enough to be attached. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were where I played the most. Adventure 2 was pretty fun, I spent a solid amount of time playing it on the Gamecube. Still have it!
Honestly, Sonic stayed on my radar due to all the porn. Once I started drawing furry art it was impossible to avoid, kind of like MLP. It wore me down and now I enjoy it! I want to draw Rouge now...
I like the boss battles with Infinite. The whole game, particularly the music, was cheesy. I thought it was stupid at first but it had a charm to it I liked by the end. Weird how a game with such a low Metacritic score ended up entertaining me so much. Maybe I'll go back and play other Sonic games. They can't all be '06 bad.

Sonic was a huge staple of my life growing up. When my parents introduced me to video games I was still in the single digits. My mom used to play Sonic 2 on the genesis for hours! She taught me to play it and it was love at first sight. I later got Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles and I played them TO DEATH. Sonic Adventure 2 on Gamecube BLEW MY MIND! When I first got to play it I loved they they had built an entire world around Sonic and how they had given it such an "epic" story! Obviously now it is just super cheesy and difficult to take seriously, but at the time it was amazing.
Actually it's due to my love of Sonic that I even had the idea to looks up furry porn, despite having no actual idea that "Furry" was a thing. The first one I found was a lesbian pic between Amy and Rouge and it was all downhill form there HAHA! Actually it's finny that you mention MLP, because furry porn and MLP had two of the biggest influences on my art and the direction that I decided to go with it. As a youngling furry porn is what got me into drawing anthro characters, and many years later MLP is what made me get involved in art again, after nearly abandoning it. I never drew MLP stuff, I just loved the art style so much that it made me want to pick up drawing again and try using a more simple cartoonish style as compared to the more detailed and difficult style I attempted years ago. My passion was re-ignited and I've been at it more than ever!
They hyped Infinite up so much that I, foolishly, allowed the hype to build up an expectation of how awesome and over the top he would be! Aside from having an amazing theme song and a fun design, there's really nothing that stands out about him. He doesn't even get a cool send off. He just gets beaten and... That's it. It doesn't even really feel like a big showdown. Bit of a bummer.Β
Sonic has always had a stupid charm to me and that is really why he's been a game series that I've never left behind, even if he's had some real stinkers. Generations and Colors are pretty damn good! You should definitely check them out! Also if you happen to have a GBA lying around, or a good GBA emulator, Sonic Advanced 1, 2 , 3, and Battles are amazing games!

I rarely played Sonic as I had a SNES, a friend down the street had a Genesis, though so I got some Sonic in until i got a Dreamcast.
I had a lot of fun with Forces and just went back to my PS3 to get Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 in HD. Time to knock out those trophies! I also got Sonic The Fighters and finished that. Pretty fun. I forgot how much I did like Sonic before '06 soured my fun.
Star Fox's Krystal was still my first introduction to furry stuff but I've seen years worth on Rouge porn so it's cemented in there with the likes of Renamon. Sonic is legendary in the porn world! Once Pokemon started getting sexy art with Gardevoir I knew I was in. The first time I drew anything furry was around 2009. Fun times. Time to get busy drawing Sonic stuff to make up for all the years I didn't~

DynamiteDigby In reply to CatCouch [2018-01-04 01:08:20 +0000 UTC]
Krystal was my furry crush as a teenager lol. It was my attraction to her and Carmelita Fox (from Sly Cooper) that led to me finding out what the furry fandom is. Road Rovers was actually the show that first made me want to draw anthro characters, and at first it was entirely innocent, but then those hormones kicked in and we got a computer... The rest is history.
Sonic is porn legend! But with a Rouge's huge knockers bouncing around, and Amy's constant upskirt shots, it was destined to happen!

CatCouch In reply to DynamiteDigby [2018-01-06 21:49:55 +0000 UTC]
I still need to finish the Sly Cooper games. I played the first when it came out and couldn't beat one of the bosses. I played the remasters and got stuck on the same damn boss. I think I need to just skip the rest of the first game so I can get to that sweet Carmelita Fox stuff! I haven't even started the other three games and they're sitting on my shelf.
I just played some of Sonic Adventure 2 and damn, Rouge does have really noticeable bounce to her. I will be drawing that sometime~

DynamiteDigby In reply to CatCouch [2018-01-08 21:01:19 +0000 UTC]
The first game is BY FAR the weakest. I'd just look up how the story goes, then skip it. 2 and 3 are superior in literally every way. Especially 3!
I would love to see you draw her! I also love how her alternate costume literally makes her look like a hooker! HAHAH!

I really want to get into a groove of drawing way more while focusing on improving instead of trying to make every piece a huge painting, that way drawing Sly Cooper fan art will be fun and worthwhile!
Just sitting down and drawing is getting harder these days due to all the fighting around it, so much crap I have to read and understand before it bites me in the ass like that site that steals furry art from Patreon to undercut the artists. Even Kotaku is writing about it now. Reading the comments is demoralizing, so many people don't think art is a job, apparently. Furry art is still okay to hate, too.
Hopefully soon I'll have my DA, FA, Twitter, Patreon and other art accounts all synced up and going and I can just relax and draw sexy stuff while growing my brand as an artist. Carmelita Fox is on that "to do" list! Ha "to do". I need to draw more full porn stuff. DA is the only site that doesn't allow it now...

DynamiteDigby In reply to CatCouch [2018-01-08 23:41:17 +0000 UTC]
Sadly the idea of the suffering artist is and always will be very real. As for the hate, especially for furry art, you can;t let that get to you. The audience is out there and it is growing massive. I find, whenever I am down, that it always helps me to remember that NOTHING can avoid getting hate on the internet. Anything and everything that exists will be hated upon by zealots of the opposing side. Marvel fans hate on DC and vice versa, Comic fans hate on Anime, Star Trek fans vs Star Wars fans, E sports vs real sports! The list just keeps going and going and going.
The best thing you can do is just endure and be successful at what you do! Ignore haters, accept legit criticism, and do what makes you happy. I know it is a task easier said than done, but as an artist who, years ago, gave it up and has just within the past couple years picked it back up again, you can trust me when I say that if you have a real passion for art that quitting will just make you feel hollow inside. It did me and I regret that I allowed bullshit to get in the way of my passion for those years.
I find it funny how DA won't just cave and let the porn flow, but whatevs, their loss.Β
I would love to see you do more full blown porn. I absolutely love your style!

CatCouch In reply to DynamiteDigby [2018-01-09 08:30:08 +0000 UTC]
Furry art really is growing. There's a consistent fan base for it everywhere I go. Totally love that it's gaining strength.
Nothing escapes the hate machine on the net, that's for sure. Gaming and the art around it is particularly nasty, though. The sexism/misogyny accusations are too much, especially when coupled with how fast people resort to calling others Nazi's these days. I long for the days when it was justΒ geeks geeking out over Star Trek Vs. Star Wars. The virgin nerd stereotype is kind of quaint now.
I'm definitely going to ignore it more now. I stopped reading most game sites due to the negativity. Instead, I'm staying on positive sites and focusing on art! I definitely feel hollow when I go a few days or so without drawing. I need it.
I'm off to draw dirty Delphox and Renamon art! Furry and regular porn are just to fun not to draw and there is a market for it! I hope I can find a solid audience on Twitter and other sites so I can try out new stuff DA doesn't allow.
Thanks for the encouraging words! It's small but meaningful interactions like this that give me the motivation to fight on!

Porn is a lot of fun, and it lets us realize our game and cartoon character fetishes, which is awesome! I love and respect the artists who can bring it to life, although personally I choose not to. Not a dis by any means; drawing porn just doesn't fulfill me on an artistic level. You have a lot of talent, I am sure you will find your audience!Β
I'm glad I could help, even if it was only a little bit! Artists have to stick together. We are easy prey for haters and ill intentioned media outlets. We are the ones who make the world magical and bring the fantastic to life!
