Rock Trolls/Sentinels
Rock trolls, also known as sentinels, were the first "gemigons". They lived on one massive super continent on their planet. Their skeletons were made of extremely hard rock that did not grow through their skin, and they had normal teeth/claws. Most were somewhat gentle giants, though they were exclusively carnivorous and required a lot of food to keep themselves going. While they were smart, they weren't nearly as intelligent as gemigons. Other than some appearance similarities, they really weren't much like gemigons at all.

Akator Trolls
After the super continent split, sentinels began to evolve into smaller, fluffier creatures to adapt to the much colder temperatures of Akator. Their long, saber-like teeth grew up and outwards instead of down, and they began to have less of a hunched back. Their tails became a lot less thick and their colors started to become more vibrant. They also started becoming smarter and developed some primitive societies.

Gemigons
After the events of the Wish, Akator trolls began to quickly evolve; for each new generation, there was a noticeable change. The first things to go were the manes and long tusks, which slowly shrank. Some also started losing their nose, and instead had the current gemigon noses. After a while, gemigons began to develop their gem skeletons. It was an extremely painful transformation, as their rock skeletons began to be more geode-like. The gems inside exploded out of their bones at a certain age and grew all over them, breaking through their skin. Eventually, the geode skeletons began to change into regular gem skeletons. This entire unnatural evolution took about 2000 years, which was only about ten generations for Akator trolls.

first lore day!! i decided that instead of stringing out a story over 3 lore days that i would just post everything that was related to each other in one day! so there will be more later c: i sorta need to figure out what to post for the other days now tho lol. if you have any suggestions let me know
