Monochromatic means one colour, yes? Well, I took two, so…
I was so happy to see this prompt and wanted to draw Aaravos like this actually since a long time. Long story short, that‘s my idea of Aaravos‘s star mode (like all the other elves have too), absorbing all the starlight into his body, until he‘s purely made of star light. Way to bright to look at, I guess
The eyes and his chest star stays black as contrast (and I loved the idea of a reverse Avatar State with black, lightless eyes instead of glowing ones)

Hehe, thanks! It's nothing more than a simple drawing, and seeing other artworks with the same prompts it feels very flat and uncreative, but I'm happy you like it nevertheless. And yes, I hope we got to see Aaravos "Startouched-form" anytime in the show, I guess it will be brialliant as a star

He is a challenge, that's true, but with every time drawing him I got the feeling I understand more and more of his whole character design There are just soo many details and every time I have to make sure I draw him like the last time... but damn, these horns and his silly chest star... beautiful, but challenging

It's the best way to learn and get better at drawing! That's why people draw the human body countless times in classes. It all becomes routine and can later be incorporated into your own designs. ^_^
I am a little puzzled by Aaravos's outfit so you might notice my deviations will probably never EXACTLY show his actual outfit.

That's true! And yeah, I too was one of these children who draw and draw in classes, slightly becoming "better" with it. Although it's sometimes painful, I also love to look at old drawings to see old mistakes and how much I've grown over time. It's not much, but it's honest work
Aaravos's outfit is just painful to understand. I still have no clue what it is supposed to be ^^ So I try to avoid drawing his upper half and focusing on his graceful face and hair

I made the mistake of throwing away some of my old work... Years later I really wish I had kept it because it shows how much growth I've had.

That's very sad to hear! I kept some old drawings I still like, others went out with the trash ^^ But all of the old pictures I posted here are still in my folders; I don't look at them anymore, but it's a good feeling having them still around. It's... kinda nostalgic, I guess.

That's true, too! Some fandoms have a dear spot in my heart, although I don't draw anything for them anymore. Sometimes it's sad to think about it, but most times I look at old art and remember the good times I had with the fandoms
