Another really old oil painting (it's possible it may have been acrylics but I felt sure this was the start of my using oils...?)Some fruit that I fancied painting. I always felt that the apple was a bit flat but otherwise not a bad attempt!

I'm sure with practice you would be superb with oils (I find they give a nicer result than acrylics and give you longer to mess around... Acrylics seem so final somehow!) and I would love to see some of your work in them.
I seem to be ok with fruit and faces, but I can't do bodies very well and I am laughable at drawing flowers! I'm also totally hopeless without reference.
I really want to get back into painting; I did some recently but it was finishing off a very old picture (which I will hopefully put up here if I get a photo of it)
I'd done all the fun bits when I first started painting, so it wasn't a fabulous experience, but my father-in-law was really happy so that made it worth while!
I'm off for a look at some of your recent work (I have been away from DA for a while and now have about 100 people's deviations to look through!)
