Three things:
1)Ditch the bases and start working on your own, before it's too late. It's waaay more satisfying to complete a drawing you know comes completely out of your mind, and it's not simply elements drawn over someone else's work.

2) Color scheme. Green, purple, fuchsia and red rarely work well all together. I would suggest some study of color theory and how they can influence the atmosphere of a drawing and the feel of a character. You can find some tutorials around dA or I can link you some videos.

3) Resolution: this piece is 236x273 pixel. You should never work on a canvas this small. Fix the size when creating a new canvas or a new file, make it AT LEAST 1000x1000. Detail can never pop out on a square this small. I know a tiny canvas can give you the security of a more manageable stroke, but you need to leave your comfort zone and explore to improve, especially when this particular confort zone is ruining your drawings
