one of my baby rats (Stormy) seems to have a URI (upper respiratory infection) and we need to take her to the vet, which i dont really have money for so im trying to make some quick. all help is appreciated!!paypal is cheaper than points again :3

OKAY uh I have 3 rats right now, and we had 2 before.
We give our rats Baytril when they get UPI's. You can buy it online here;

It lasts FOREVER. You should still take them to a vet, but you should /always/ keep Baytril on hand, because rats get the sniffles a lot tbh. and this way you don't have to go running back to the vet a thousand million times, haha.Β
The vet will probably prescribe Baytril, tbh! and they will give you a syringe with a daily dose (I've never owned a rat as young as that so I'm scared to say how much would be okay)
After that, you'll have your own source of Baytril. For our boys, we medicate for 1-2 weeks. If symptoms progress, we always end up taking them to a vet.
But this time - def take to a vet first, since they're so young!
