You can take the phrase "Glory of God" as the church, but I was thinking more of the hundreds of people who go their a day, who help the church grow and thrive, who organize meetings and events, who donate, and who promote the American Church in Paris. Also, it was a phrase engraved in a memorial in the courtyard dedicated to a woman "and the glory of god"

And alignment- well, that's pretty obvious.
