Description
There is no excitementin tranquility, where rocks
are not permitted
to disturb the water's
blank surface. Besides,
it's unnatural for
both yin and yang -
each possesses that brittle
pebble deep within their voids.
How can I escape the
very nucleus of all humanity?
I'm not so alien in
nature, like confetti floating to
the surface of a stormy lake -
I'll keep collecting my stones.
They'll make for some good ripples.
Forget tranquility!
Water was never meant to be still.
Ambition makes a splash!

I love how there is both poetic imagery and blunt observation in this poem. The realization that monotony is unnatural really spoke to me. And yes, ambition does make a splash!
