Description
Carnivorous creatures clawAt dead flesh and meat,
Ripping it from the bone;
Blood stained teeth
Tear and chew
As more scarlet fluid
Saturates fur and dirt;
The earth beneath
Padded paws
Turns to rusty mud
And reeks of iron
(Among other unpleasantries);
Darwinism is the law,
The strong conquer
The weak;
And those who fall behind,
Enrich the soil
With the blood
Dripping from their feet...

Nicely done but I have one slight critique:
When you read the last two lines it comes off as the conquered are walking in blood. I don't know if you intended it that way:
With the blood
Dripping from their feet...
I would advise:
And those who fall behind,
Enrich the soil
With their blood
Dripping from the (victor's/conqueror's) feet...

Thanks! I actually meant it to be the victim's blood......perhaps I can try to reword it or something.....

or might be my defective talents at viewing. I'll never be the typical poet when it comes to reading it (don't have a stomach for some of the fanciful things they think up.)

Could be.
Well, a lot of people read some of the stuff I come up with and look at me like there's something wrong with me.
I'm actually a pretty bubbly person (at least that's what I'm told
) and I'm optimistic, so it suprises people when they hear/read some of my more depressing and dark poetry. I love to watch the looks on their faces!

If they expect us to smile everyday, it's good to get some of those darker thoughts outta the way!

I guess that's true... It's funny though....I'm kind of a twisted person...

I think that's the beauty in all of us. That twisted fiber that likes to scramble the world a little.

I don't think I ever thought of it that way! I've got such an odd sense of humor though.....see my mom has a French sense of humor and my dad has a very British sense of humor....I've got a little bit of both, plus something completely my own! So most people just look at me funny when I try to make a joke.....I do come up with some really good ones though!

Isn't it though? Sometimes it suprises me how alike me and my mom are. You know the movie "Blades of Glory"? Well.....my mom LOVES it!
I knew she would, but I also knew that my dad wouldn't!
