"Such a man," theatrical
praises boast; but what
podium does he rest upon;
one I cannot reach?
Is this blind ovation
tribute to an incurable
greed? Well, sir, forgive
me, I don't praise
gloppy maladies my
delicate system can do without.

"What a character!" those
disillusioned hosts declare.
Beg pardon my senile elders,
but have cataracts crept
upon your eyes? Do you not
see the sick, immoral puddle
of tar in front of you?
No bubbles of laughter
emerge from my throat
to dance on my tongue;
instead, sharp bile stings
these living pipes.

"How brave," stern officers
gravely state. Brave indeed;
a true contortionist on his
best day, he is, when
faced with minimal danger:
a woman, perhaps?

So, my poor, pathetic companions,
continue to gawk in awe
at the putrid display before you,
if you wish. I'll (instead of
kneeling to worship) just
ascend this anthill before me
and show you the foul hypocrite
your majesty truly is
as I curl my fingers
'round balls of brass!
