The glamor of snow,
a mere distraction
to the eyes,
is nothing more than
a vast, white quilt
to the dead
who lay beneath the earth:
forever in hybernation,
forever dormant,
forever still and cold
like the frigid season itself.

No bloom of life for them...

Nothing to revive the dead...

Okay, let me start by saying I love it. I'm sure you want a reason, lol. Well, I hate the winter with a passion; the cold, the snow, the everything. What this says to me (and you might not have meant it in this way) is to apriciate what you have because there could be dead people under the ground just wishing to be alive. It's short, but heartfelt, and it speaks wonders.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! And whatever you take from it is wonderful! I'm not sure if I had any specific meaning in mind when I wrote it (perhaps it was subconscious?), but I think different people can take different things from it. As for me, I love the winter! Quite a contrast in my writing, huh? lol
