For some reason I feel as though that comment is directed at me, heh. For this piece I would toy a bit more with the diction. You have a solid verb selection. You give the reader just the slightest glimpse into that inner turmoil that burns inside. You could definitely expand on this if you ever decide to.

What comment? But no, it's not directed at you. I had a bad day and on top of it, my friend's here had decided to go out to eat and never actually told me...so it was a little frustrating. But then later that night I hung out with some people on my floor & we had fun.

Yup! And I don't need thousands of friends to be happy either. So if they don't want to hang out with me anymore that's fine with me. I've got a best friend back home that I can talk to whenever I need to and I've got some other good friends here and back home. That's all I need!

The important thing is that you're getting out there and mingling. You're giving life a chance and not turning away from the bumps and bruises.

Yeah, I've always been able to bounce back pretty quickly. I could be completely content with my best friend and my family though. I guess I can go either way...whether it's a few friends or a lot of friends. I think I tend to lean more towards just having a few really good friends than a lot of friends that I barely know. That way, you know you can count on them if you need them and vice versa.
