Description The past,
A mere flicker of exhistence,
Illuminates my thoughts

In the dim lit corner
Of my minds' cluttered library,
I sit and read through the pages of my life

The worn pages turn easlily at my command,
They are soft with age,
Dear to my heart

The winds of time
Catch them,
And the pages rustle forward
To an unwritten future

I am wrinkled with age
As I silently sit and stare

The pages I read
Over and over,
Are thin and old,
Torn at the edges
From the frequent glances into the past

I see the end of my story is near,
And I turn off my light
To sleep

I love the title with this! Your poems are really good, they seem like informal stories that are pretty. I like this stanza best:

In the dim lit corner
Of my minds' cluttered library,
I sit and read through the pages of my life

You're good at retrospective/introspective pieces. ^.^

Thanks!! ^_^ I like that stanza a lot too. I think it took me all of perhaps 10min. to write the whole thing. I think it was because the room where I play in my teachers' house is dimly lit, so that gave me a little ispiration. I tend to write better when I'm in a mostly dark room. Somewhere where there's only one light on, so I'm not overwhelmed by it. I don't know why really.... ..........?

I think it puts people into moods. I'm like that with the dark/night, and with slow music. XD Darkness and shadows are more romantic.
