Description Crickets will chirp,
The musicians of night
As birds coo softly
In their dreams,
Their feet clutching
The branches
Above in the trees

Bats, twilight's alibies,
Take flight,
Soaring through the
Darkness with a
Grace known only
To them,
They need not sight to guide their way

The luminous moon
Reins over the sky,
Our celestial mother
Keeping watch until dawn,
As we slowly slip
Into a transient,
Wakeless sleep...
