It's not old, but new
Made by my mothers hands
A sea of bright red yarn
Twined together to make a marvelous pattern

Soft as a cats fur in my hands
Warm and cozy at night
I sleep peacefully
As it coils around my cold body

In the morning I wake
And leave my red comfort
With its fringes hanging down the side of my bed
To do the days work, until night falls again
