My brother's ex girl accidentally ran over our new family puppy a few years ago, and I was forced to witness the blood from his nose. His neck got caught and broke under her wheel. For what it's worth, I would do anything to let his death be replaced with a more humane one.

I'm sorry....it's always sad when you lose a pet.......I witnessed my dog (well, we gave him away) kill my cat Gizmo...... .....he was the sweetest cat you could ever have and he had a hip problem that made it hard for him to jump....there was nothing I could do....I wish I could have replaced the way he died with a more humane one too.

Well, on a brighter note, he's not suffering anymore

I had a dog with a back/hip problem, too, not so long ago (Oreo! ) Then the animal shelter lost him when we took him to get his skin looked @. I just tell myself that he ran away to a house with a really loving family.

Yeah... I actually wrote a story about it. It's called "The Night Gizmo Died" if you want to read it.

Seems like you should've been able to sue them or something for losing your dog.....That's just ridiculous!

That strangely sounds like something that would happen out here in Maryland. It's just ridiculous. You can't get anything done in this state without having to pull out all your teeth in the process!!
