It has been 2 years since Twilight's ascension, and Celestia has decided she's ready to pick an apprentice. After teaching at the Canterlot School for Gifted Unicorns, her search has not turned up no likely candidates. However, after seeing Sweetie Belle's maturity and kindness, she sees the potential within and selects Sweetie Belle as her apprentice.
