Finally decided to try some rough character sheets. This is Asher, the anxiety-ridden main character of one of the many stories I'm procrastinating right now.
At the time of the book, he's fourteen years old. With the extra years of knowledge from the reset timeline, though, Asher is a master mechanic and programmer. In the previous timeline, he handled the tech side of break-ins with his team, hacking the security systems and sabotaging enemy robotics. What he lacks in combat skills he makes up for in being able to run away really fast; he sticks to the alleyway shadows and gets nervous in wide-open places.

His most important piece of equipment is his wrist computer, which he personally constructed and is constantly tinkering with. The visor he wears sometimes also handles things like night vision, in addition to obscuring his face from city security cameras. The first/middle outfit is his usual clothes, the third one is the outfit he dons for breaking into an archive facility. It was supposed to be a fast, in-and-out job with no one the wiser, and it would have gone beautifully if those other people hadn't also selected the facility as their target. Getting smashed through a third-story window by combat robots really wasn't supposed to be on the itinerary.

I'm trying to experiment more with digital sketching. Having a hard time finding a stylistic balance between line art and the urge to add 20 layers of shading. Doesn't help that my characters look different every time I draw them either. At this point, I think I'd welcome same-face syndrome just so the same character actually had a consistent face. Anyone got any tips for digital character sketches?

The Reset Timeline:
What would you do differently given a second chance? Asher's universe had time turned back 17 years to avert an apocalypse after the world-dominating villain realized ruling the world sucks. Not everyone was happy about losing 17 years of life and memories, though, and it turns out merely stopping the war wasn't enough to fix everything. Asher's running a race against time to stop the curse that killed his mentor in the last timeline.
