Description IT'S DONE! This took me three days to complete, and I am SO happy with it!
(Except for the green soul she can burn in hell).

This year has been so incredible for me. I began the year thinking that it would take me forever to see any kind of progress in my art, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I have improved with my anatomy so much (especially with hands!), I got pretty good with shading and light effects, and I've been bolder with poses and backgrounds. I never would have thought that, in only a year, I would be creating a piece as big as this.

Also, digital art! YAY! At first I wasn't sure if I should redo the piece digitally or traditionally, but in the end I decided to do digital because not only is it another representation of how far I've come, but also I felt like it gave me more room to be more creative and daring with my piece. And I have to say, I'm very pleased with my choice.

As mentioned in the title, this is for a contest hosted by the AMAZING ! She is so sweet and her art is fantastic! Definitely check out her profile if you get the chance, and DEFINITELY consider entering the contest! The prizes are AWESOME (Yes, they include points!). The deadline for the contest is January 31st, so you definitely have time! I hope to see some of your entries!

Also, don't hesitate to give me feedback! I may have improved a lot, but I still have a long way to go. My anatomy still is lacking, and I still need to work on hair, shading, and expressions. Any tips are appreciated. Thank you!

Love you guys!

Woah, great improvement I really like that you gave them more dynamic - not only with colours and poses, but also with facial expression. That gives them a lot more of personality and makes them more interesting And don't get mad on a greeny - yeah, she looks more like crazy than kind, but it's still your creation

To be honest - good choice with going digitally - if you want to stick with that medium If you want to experiment it's definitely more daring - it's just easier to change or erase things

As for advice: the same thing as I'm trying to learn - when you draw think how it would work psychically, in the real world. Like movement or wind affecting clothes and hair or that different fabric have a different weight. Or even if somebody would get to this pose naturally or have to do it intentionally

Keep good work and good luck in the contest

The rendering has improved a great deal, along with the anatomy and composition. Your characters don't look squashed at the edge of the canvas anymore.
I have to say, it's hard to believe that this improvement happened in less than a year! You have clearly worked hard.

My advice for hair is to remember that hair is a 3-Dimensional form. It typically falls in 'bangs' (lots of hair strands grouped together). When influenced by wind or movement the hair will typically all follow the same direction as it gets pulled in the direction of the wind, or against the motion of the character. In fact, hair and clothing is a fantastic way to show movement. My advice is to look at paintings of dancers and you'll see what I mean If the hair is longer, then it will have more weight, which means it will take more force in order for the hair to move. While shorter, lighter hair will be influenced by wind/motion some more. When it comes to hair always think about the point of origin and then the end point. You don't have to draw every line, but it helps to understand the general motion

I hope this helps and great job at your drawing

I just wanted to stop by and say the amount you've improved is incredible! The poses in your new piece are much more dynamic and bold, and they give better insight into each of the character's personalities >w< you should be really proud of how far you've come! wow what an improvement for less than a year!!! great job buddy! you can really be proud ^^
i like that you've really become much more bold with the poses and expressions especially, that's important. and as for constructive advice for the future -- try to study how clothes fit the human body by watching people around you in everyday life now, i think that's a good next skill to try to work out good luck!!

Wow you've improved a dramatic amount in less than a year!!! I think what stands out the most is the poses and the colors! Of course the colors are much more vibrant digitally but it shows that you thought about the lighting and shading ! I also love the overall placement of the characters as well! Good luck to you too!

I really love the way you've done poses in the second picture, and the way you positioned them. Working digitally seems to be a good way for you to create, it looks incredible, I especially love the souls glow

Again, good luck
