Description Army of One is the name of Catt's pet caterpillar. She named him that because he has a bunch of legs. She thinks he's freakin' adorable.

He doesn't really do much but scare the crap out of Flickie, who is deathly afraid of bugs. Catt is too but caterpillars and butterflies aren't of the bugs that scare her (save the monster adaptations of both).

Colored with Sharpies (black) and gelpens (all other colors) on graphing paper.

Ooo! This turned out lovely! The colours are all so wonderful! Plus, the idea is just so adorable. The look on her face! This is just so lovely, I love it. ^.^ Wonderful job, darling.

Oh well thank you! I'd been meaning to draw him again but the reason hasn't really come up? I have a hard time drawing something "just cuz".

Yeah, me too. I usually draw when I'm super inclined to do something, but other than that, it's more 'meh, maybe later'. heheh.

That's why I got into making comics. It's the epitome of story art. I like to see how well I can convey thought through art. I guess. I'm not really sure why I'm so driven.

I'm more of a writer when it comes to story telling, however, I really appreciate and admire people who can do the same through art. I can tell a story sometimes, but I've never had a patience or ability to draw a continuous person or character over and over again like I would be required to for comics.

I like the way people look when they express their emotions visibly. I've always admired people's unique gestures and expressions as far back as I can. The way my dad looks when he's solving a problem or the way my boyfriend looks when he's sad. Everyone has a perfect angle they almost should be viewed at once it's been discovered, leaving other angles in the dust. Normally, it's a 3/4 angle, either left or right aligned, but it's unique to each individual.

Finding it so admirable, I can't help but pick up a pencil and try to remake it, the unify specifics to each character. Which is unsurprisingly challenging. Sometimes, I fear all of my characters look the same facially save the eyebrows and other remote things.

Oh, honey, you're characters are perfect. I think they have a wide range of emotional expression. I find them really hard as well. I had a piece I did that I'll eventually get around to putting up that drove me mad. I think I spent an hour trying to get this guy's expression JUST RIGHT.

I totally agree, I could not have said any of that better myself.

I'd really love to see that.

Well, thank you! I still have to keep a critical eye on myself out of fear that I might lose my edge or fail to grow but it's good to know I'm not too delusional in thinking my work's good.

Awww, how cute! I love caterpillars and worms. c: And butterflies of course. Only bugs I don't hate (though a worm is an annelid...)

Anyhow, this is adorable! I love Catt's outfit.

I like the way her arms are set. Actually, it took me a long time to realize her boob was over her right arm. I was all -- what is that?

Haha, I notice a lot of people have a problem with her chest when I draw too much interaction or overlapping in that area. I don't know if it's something I'm doing or if it's simply too much going on over there...

Thanks though.
