Description Imprisoned With Cluseau

His blood spattered across the wall,
And it squelched into the cracks.
The metal clanged back onto the stone wall,
And left him with a broken back.
The criminal died, at the hands of Cluseau,
But no one cared in the dungeons below,
He was sent to jail fifty years ago.

The crime accused was murderous treason,
Sharing secrets with Britain,
But he had no reason, to
Commit such lamentable felony.
But he was not allowed to defend himself,
The barrister claimed he had used all stealth
To penetrate the inner sanctum’s health.

His left arm cracked, protruding bone,
Whilst his captors laughed again.
His eyes were closed to shield his own
Sanity as he died.
In the back of his mind, lived a girl named Jane,
A girl whose heart he’d gone to claim,
Only to find she’d gone insane.

While he was away Jane lost her mind,
Withered and shriveled and warped.
She tore up his letters, anything to remind
Her of the lover who left her alone.
“BETRAYAL!” she shouted when she saw him again,
The guards came alive as it started to rain,
They caught him and beat him, with no time to explain.

He rots in his cell, his still form caked in blood,
But his Jane is a granny who smiles.
Cluseau watched the death as his soldiers
Took his wife with their boots, caked with mud.
With a flip of his hat, Cluseau walked away,
His job is done and he has the last say,
Now he’s off to his dear wife; his Jane.
