Description EDIT 3: Someone told me to stop, but this is for you:

EDIT 2: WHY ARE PEOPLE TAKING THIS STAMP TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF POLITICAL DEBATES OH MY GOD if someone wants to share their opinion let them. If you have an opinion on THEIR opinion whether you disagree or not, you have EVERY RIGHT TO SHARE IT, especially when it's in a PUBLIC FORUM. No one can be silenced of their opinion and no one should feel the need to keep it to themselves. If you don't like someone's opinion, TOUGH SHIT. Comment maybe on disagreeing and carry the fuck on, because hey, that's your opinion too, and you can share that as well.
That includes whether or not you agree with this one too, hey hey

EDIT: I'm going to be getting a lot of history-related comments or government-related comments regarding 'freedom of speech' and my quote about tyranny. I've covered that topic with a few commenters, please move on and get to the actual POINT OF THIS STAMP which is just stating how FUCKING DUMB IT IS that people think people should keep their damn opinions to themselves."

I've seen way too many stamps where people will comment and say "this is great but can u keep ur hate to urself plz??? thank u " or "dont you think this is unnecessary u can keep ur opinion to yourself" "u dont have to show the whole world"

I live in a place where we have freedom of speech [I KNOW IT DOESN'T PROTECT ALL FORMS OF SPEECH, but it does protect you from getting arrested for saying you hate the government i mean holy fuck you guys I KNOW YOULL GET ARRESTED IF YOU SAY YOU PLAN ON BOMBING THE WHITE HOUSE that ISN'T WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT]. I prefer to keep the freedom and I'll exercise it as much as I want.

and what's this? i'm active? wow.

Yes, you are free to share your opinion. Yes, it is freedom of speech. But making death threats to those who don't agree is not a right in any form of speaking freely.

I myself am a SasuHina fan, a crack pairing that is likely to never happen in the Naruto anime. I don't bash other pairings, I just like my own. Yet I get those who come at me telling me I am "stupid," "idiotic," and "should feel bad for liking this." When I defend myself against them, they bring this very stamp to my attention as a way of saying they can say and do anything they want. This, I feel, is a misinterpretation.

It's fine if you hate things or criticizing them, but going as far as to insult, demean and threaten them with your 'free speech' is flat out bullying.

lol, I once critiqued something on another account, It was a drawing of a deformed sparkledog who had a round ass foread, animu eyes, an extremely skinny body and an assymetrical face. Even if the the artist didn't knew a thing about good anatomy, all her mistakes where hidden well enough by her shading and background skills for thousand wolfaboos to swoon at her like if she was the god of drawing..... I wasen't fooled since I wasent part of those who are too lasy to learn anatomy, so I posted a critique without any swears and demotivation words that pointed out the nice look of the shading and composition but also how bad the anatomy was..... guess what?.... she turned into her deep and majestic rage mode and called her army of a tousand wolfaboos to spam my inbox.... I really hate how people can't support critics and opinions

lol One time I stated I disliked a certain pairing in the Hetalia fandom and a rabid fangirl of that pair came at me saying my opinion made no sense and then started going on and on about it being 'one-sided canon' when it really isn't Canon.

All I did was facedesk at just how stupid it was and then I eventually just started laughing my ass off because of how dumb she sounded.

And thank you for posting this. I will probably use it on my profile sometime soon~

That's why I'm always careful when sharing my opinion, or else I don't say anything. That's really sad.

Aren't you kind of contradicting yourself? I mean, you're complaining about how you want people to stop telling you to keep your opinion to yourself if they don't find it appropriate or don't want to hear it, but then you turn around and say, "I HAZ FREEDOM OF SPEECHZ 'MURICA FUCK YEAH!!!1" You can state your opinion all you want, but that doesn't mean that you can't be told to fuck off, and in some cases, it could be considered cyber bulling and/or public harassment. My advice to you, feel free to state your opinion, but use your best judgement to guide you, because the law won't protect everything you do.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Caution-LowCeiling In reply to Arikari12 [2013-02-20 03:57:29 +0000 UTC]

I agree with the last bits of the comment.
HOWEVER.
I don't think I'm contradicting myself.
Not once did I say "STOP TELLING ME TO KEEP MY OPINION TO MYSELF", I am just saying I will not keep my opinion to myself because I have every right to state it.
Also, little known fact, people telling someone to keep their opinions to them self isn't an opinion, it's an order. And I don't exactly take orders from people who have no power over me on the internet. Especially when it comes to just stating how I feel about some subject or anything in the world, whether it's a show or a book or a character or whatever it is.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arikari12 In reply to Caution-LowCeiling [2013-02-20 06:02:49 +0000 UTC]

I never said that you said that. When I said you want people to stop telling you to keep your opinion to yourself, I meant specifically the way you were complaining about it, which kind of implies that you rather them stop.

You even said yourself, "...Please move on and get to the actual POINT OF THIS STAMP which is just stating how FUCKING DUMB IT IS that people think people should keep their damn opinions to themselves." and "I've seen way too many stamps where people will comment and say 'this is great but can u keep ur hate to urself plz??? thank u' or 'dont you think this is unnecessary u can keep ur opinion to yourself' 'u dont have to show the whole world'"
The first example was an opinion. The second examples were somewhat-polite requests, which could be considered implied opinions. None of these were orders. You are clearly complaining about other people's opinions on whether someone should keep their opinion to them self, and it's hypocritical.

Again, I meant my last comment it in the sense that you were dismissing the opinions of people who didn't want to hear your own opinion/couldn't care less/didn't find it appropriate, while you had no problem stating your own. In fact, you even went as far as to say, "No one can be silenced of their opinion and no one should feel the need to keep it to themselves. If you don't like someone's opinion, TOUGH SHIT. Comment maybe on disagreeing and carry the fuck on, because hey, that's your opinion too, and you can share that as well."

Bottom line: You. make. no. sense.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Caution-LowCeiling In reply to Arikari12 [2013-02-21 03:26:42 +0000 UTC]

Someone wanting to keep someone's opinion to them self isn't an opinion.
You seem to think it is for some reason.
Which is where you then think I look like a hypocrite, which makes sense, but someone telling someone to keep an opinion quiet isn't an opinion.

When I tell people to stop saying that, that's not hypocritical, because when somebody tells you to stop sharing your opinion, that is not an opinion to begin with.

I'll summarize this for people who apparently think this is rocket science. This is a really, really,
really,
simple stamp.

I've said this already over and over in this comment but repetition usually works with people.
"KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF" isn't an opinion.
"KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF" isn't an opinion.
"KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF" isn't an opinion.

So no. I'm not being hypocritical when I tell people to stop trying to tell me to keep my opinion to myself.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arikari12 In reply to Caution-LowCeiling [2013-02-21 04:11:47 +0000 UTC]

Yes, and I am trying to make a really, really, REALLY simple point.

Opinion- a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
Synonyms: attitude, feeling, idea, impression, inclination, judgement, mind, reaction, thought, viewpoint

In your description, you are clearly dismissing any thoughts of people who would prefer you to keep your opinion to yourself. In the examples you provided, they never once commanded you to keep your opinion to yourself, they PREFERRED IT, which was their O-PI-NI-ON. Again, they were not ordering you to do anything, they were just suggesting it, or politely asking.

Someone wanting another to keep their opinion to himself/herself can, in fact, be an opinion because that is what they think about a specific issue. So yes, you are being hypocritical when you criticize people for feeling that you should keep your opinion to yourself, because that in itself is an opinion.

Y U NO UNDERSTAND DIS?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Caution-LowCeiling In reply to Arikari12 [2013-02-21 22:37:53 +0000 UTC]

"they never once commanded you to keep your opinion to yourself"
So directly TELLING someone "keep your opinion to yourself" isn't a command?
Y U NO UNDERSTAND DAT?

I can understand someone saying "I prefer you keep your opinion to yourself", because yeah, that's an opinion.
But not telling someone "hey keep your opinion to yourself nobody wants to hear that shit".
A command =/= An opinion.
Know the difference between "don't post your opinion" and "i'd prefer you keep your opinion to yourself".

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Arikari12 In reply to Caution-LowCeiling [2013-02-22 01:32:24 +0000 UTC]

Okay, so I think we have an understanding here.

We both agree that if someone says, "Hey keep your opinion to yourself nobody wants to hear that shit." That it is a command, which is not a "direct" opinion. (I say that this is an indirect opinion because although you can infer what their opinion is from a quote like this, it wouldn't be contradictory if you criticize this since it's not exactly clear.)

We also both agree that if someone says, "I prefer you keep your opinion to yourself." That it is an opinion, and for you to criticize and complain about that would be hypocritical...and that is exactly what you did.

I know the difference between "Don't post your opinion" and "I'd prefer you keep your opinion to yourself." But, it looks like you don't. When making a point, you need to provide examples that support your idea. (Shocking, right?) NOT ONE of the quotes you stated were commands. They did not tell you to do anything, they suggested it. They were all fairly polite requests. Therefore, THEY ARE OPINIONS, NOT COMMANDS. Change your quotes to what you mean. M'kay?
