The real problem started when man said they would like it if a girl was a gamer. Some attention seeking girls did that and tried to be sexy. But it turns out the stereotype now is that they are all hardcore, flawless beasts with 9000 level on each game.
Truth is, WE ARE JUST PEOPLE. We are neither extreme and NO, We donΒ΄t know every game in existance I JUST LOVE TO PLAY GAMES STOP ASKING ME IF I KNOW EVERY CUTSCENE IN FALLOUT 4 I DONΒ΄T CARE.

It's most likely because most "gamers" are male, so a girl gamer is all of a sudden a precious snowflake that must be protected from melting at all costs. And girl gamers are often stereotyped for being these sexy, curvy sex objects that only exist for the entertainment of men. Although I do agree that girl gamers are not something that are extremely special.

Once I was playing a shooter and someone was like "What's your gender?"
I just replied simply, like, "Oh, I'm female."
And they treated me completely different after that.
I've only met one guy who found out I was female and treated me the complete same with no fucking detective-movie-plot-twist-moment included. I was very happy.
