Monolith Entities are ectoplasmic/consciousness-like beings that inhabit objects by bonding themselves to their molecular structure (shown in the left box). When a person or effect's near an object containing a Monolith Entity, and interacts with it through various means; the entity will perform a variety of actions based-on how it's designed, and the person/interaction. The box on the right highlights a person interacting with an object containing an entity via touch, resulting in said entity emitting a signal that causes the person to stop touching it.Feel free to leave feedback, ask questions, and comment.

Can a person being influenced by a Monolith Entity resist the Entity's commands?

It's possible, but very difficult to do so, and if the person does, then the entity will instead try to kill them via brain hemorrhaging.
Either way, keep in mind that such a command is but only one example of what monolith entities can do; they can perform psychic abilities, enhance biologies, or even provide protection. In fact, it's highly speculated that the idea of runes and enchantments were a form of cargo cult behavior born from encounters with such beings.
