Apparently they're native to this area but I've never seen one in the wild. This one is the only one I've seen at it's from a zoo that features animals from this area. Hopefully you'll get the opportunity to photograph one

Just study a little about them and you might be able to locate them, they are diurnal, you can tell by the eye colour, that means they will hunt in daylight and dusk, their wing shape is ideal for swooping on prey so they will be found perched higher up to look for prey which they can then swoop down on, so open areas besides trees/woodland would be ideal hunting grounds.

This one is soooo awesome! I love how one eye is squinting just a little, he looks like he's judging you!!

Thank you so much, Rebek! We definitely have to go to the Ecomuseum soon, you'll LOVE the animals there. This bird in particular is so cute, anytime I take photos he moves his head from side to side and poses as though to say "get this side, now this side, be sure to get my good side"
He really does, funny thing is that this is the photo where he's squinting the least. He almost always has one eye closed for some reason.

They're truly amazing and you've captured that really great (though it looks somewhat annoyed )

Thank you so much This one bird in particular loves to pose and have you take photos at every angle. I keep trying to decide whether he was annoyed that I was taking too many or that I was moving on to another exhibit right after this shot

Maybe you should print this photo and give it to the birdie - maybe even ask for an autograph? I'm sure it would love that.
