Vent art..? Yeah it sort of is.
I'm going through a bit of a rough time.
What is it you may ask..? Well... My parents are getting a divorce... it's not the only thing that's bothering me but it definitely intensified emotions I forgot I had. I've been crying constantly.. especially in phone or Skype calls...
But oh well..
Anyway I was listening to this beautiful song and one of my shitty sketches caught my emotions and turned into this. I hope you like it.

Even if they're divorced, your parents will both always love you. I know that probably doesn't really make you feel any better in the current moment, but it's all I've got. It'll hurt for a while, but it will fade in time. My parents have been divorced for a long time now(which has actually been a Thank God moment as my life is a million percent better because of it), but it really has been for the best of my whole family.
I don't really know the situation, but assuming this was a mutual agreement sort of thing, then if your parents just can't make it work and are not happy together it's better they split and go be happy than stay together and force themselves to stay in a relationship that makes them miserable. Perhaps their divorce will make life better for all of you...
And by the way, I know it's easy to when one become depressed and low, especially with a lot of extra emotionally negative things going on, but please try not to beat yourself up so much. About your art or anything else for that matter. You're fine the way you are, and frankly, you have a talent that so many people here envy. Your sketches are an art style all on their own, and they're beautiful!

My dad was an abusive alcoholic. He would put down my mum for achieving her goals in life. Would put me down for being a "useless lesbian" as I am currently unemployed and out of education.
He wasn't very nice at all.
Thing is though. It hot to the point where he started to be his older happier self that I remember in my youth.
We asked him one question and he flipped. He yelled the things I mentioned above. Said he hated me and mum and my brother. We had a month trip overseas he didn't come on. He said it was the best time of his life.
Then left.
Haven't seen him.
Does he really love me.
