I finished this drawing after some hours of figuring out which WIP to finish. xD So I chose to re-draw and finish a Mewtwo picture I never finished. I wanted to tweak the creature design a little to make it unique enough to be recognizable both as an OC and as a Mewtwo while not going too over the top with the design. He was also designed loosely off of a sphinx cat (haha).This Mewtwo is named Kaima. He was created as means to mimic the original Mew, to become better in every way. Despite his creators' intentions to make him the perfect weapon, he had emotions and didn't really care enough to serve. As a result, they gave up on him and moved onto another project. Kaima instead, enjoys exploring the world, training, fighting, and culinary varieties from all over the world.
I was listening to You Say Run and that was the inspiration for the picture. x3

I have to say, I like the re-design. You gave him an unique look while, at the same time, retained enough features for people to say "yeah, that's a mewtwo".
I wonder how he got the scar on his eye. Maybe trying to escape his creators?

And that's the right thing to do, I believe. A character, afterall, is "someone", and a "someone" already implies some sort of backstory.
