Description
I've for years.. tried to grow sunflowers.. never could.. til I bought a 50 cent pack of seeds at the dollar store..this year.. This is the first one to begin to bloom..I liked how just one side.. was open.. and the other side was still.. curled up.. merely waiting..

At first, I thought it was two pictures- combined to get that effect. But now that I see that it actually just happened like that- that's weird! I've never seen a flower bloom in parts like that. Rather cool.

A very dramatic capture.
I love it, Lisa, this is just awesome!
Maybe try to take a shot of same flower everyday, for a week, using your tripod and make an animation of it blooming

It's lovely! I have some sunflowers on the side of my house...and they were from a cheap pack of wal mart seeds.

Very nice capture. Very unique.
I grew sunflowers without even trying. The squirrels planted them from the wild bird food I used to put out... ALL OVER my flower beds. Those sunflower seeds will grow.
