Where she had come from, he had no idea, but her presence on this most desolate of mountainous peaks was of a most curious and unexpected nature indeed.Related content

Your discription sure gives a lot to this work
As for the painting itself, I truly love the look of sky and clouds in your works. I could use some lessons from you
And great colours, of course.
And btw. could you remind me what software do you use? photoshop or painter?

Thankyou very very much! Actually use both, but for the actual painting "hard yards" I primarily use Corel Painter. I just find it easier to blend colours and clean edges, as well as just working faster overall.
For doing clouds I recommend the following tutorials:

This is vaguely the way I learnt. There's a whole lot of improvisation and adaptation on my behalf, but this was the starting point I used when first learning to draw clouds. Simple, stylized shapes seem to work mostly for me - i.e. clouds with a flat base and puffy or fluffy tops, like cumulus clouds, scattering the horizon. Of course, it depends on what you're trying to depict, what mood you're trying to create. But anyway I think this is a good starting point.

Thanks for the tutorials!
I've seen'em before, as I'm quite a fan of Aquasixio works, but it was long time ago and I never gave them a try. Will do, couse clouds (well... any backgrounds) sure are damn difficult thing to paint for me

I just love that delicate little spiderweb on the left, and how you colored the spiky hill things in the foreground.

Thankyou very much, I'm not sure what the things in the foreground are supposed to be actually... some kind of barren peaks or something.

Ahhhh...my craving thirst for a new piece by you has been quenched. As I feel with each and everyone of your works of art, this is brilliant and very well done. Instant fave!

Thankyou kindly Richard. This one sat unfinished in my art folder for a while - couldn't figure out how to finish it, but got there eventually.

Thankyou very much - wasn't sure if the fly would come across as cute or ugly, hopefully the former

You're very welcome.
Don't worry about the fly
its in the eyes of the beholder.
To me the fly looks very cute.
With its beautiful eyes and the
curly back.
