Thank you PANDA. It's funny, but by chance I was finally able to see the entirety of the movie "Beautiful Creatures" on HBO yesterday and all I could think about watching it was this painting. Surprisingly I thought this captured the story pretty well except for the romance which is what the movie tried to be. Lena a conjurer had to decide if she would be a practitioner of white magic or black and family and romance complicates the decisions she makes. It could have been a better movie with more passion.

Well, this painting didn't make the grade. The digital artists really took over this contest and were certainly more refined in their execution than this water color. I do think that this painting captured the feeling of this awesome decision Lena had, and I liked the power the Lena expresses. Enjoy, I certain had fun painting it.

Thank you, I always love trying to force water color to paint like oil. I did use a white ink pen for the lightning. Other than that, it's all brush.
