Description What's supposed to be an alien from Lovecraft's "A Whisperer in Darkness", but it's based of a fragmented memory so it's definately innacurate They're winged crab things from Pluto, however. I think. And they buzz to talk. And that's not a brain on its head, its just like corded antennae.

One of those things that's too involved to dismiss as a scrap but not exaclty up to par.

Also, I'm in a weird little stint of literary fan art- more to come.

Ballpoint pen over Potatoshop.

I heard there were yeti Mi-Go in the Himalayas, that were grown from spores brought in containers from yuggoth, since those forms of Mi-Gi fungal organism couldn't fly.

It's always neat to see a truly alien being captured in line and color.

Any chance you have an Elder Thing?

Oh my god! I love this, it so perfectly depicts those things. Whisperer in the Darkness was fantastic.

This thing just projects a Lovecraftian essence. Even without you mentioning it, I had a feeling that it was Lovecraft-inspired.

If you decide to do any on Deep One hybrid women, I'd recommend reading "The Big Fish" by Kim Newman. It concerns Deep One activity off the coast of Los Angeles right after the start of US action in WW2. And a movie star Deep One in the late stages of her metamorphosis (detailed description near the end).

Ooh! I can't wait to see the Innsmouth series... that's one of my favorite stories. (I'm fascinated with human transformation into monsters/otherworldly creatures)
