Description Needed something to draw. Turned out mildly creepy, eeeheheh- if anthropomorphic things were real we'd all be considerably more grossed out by them, I believe.

12"x9" crayons on yellow construction paper!
The yellow doesn't stick out as much IRL as the scanner has it.
(Crayons are remarkably stress relieving, although I think I strained my hand-muscles.)

wow, that is a little scary, but nonetheless, very nicely done, you used a very interesting style in this picture, I'm impressed

I remember as a kid being given a book, it was a sort of spotters guide to dinosaurs and it was pretty good but on the last pages there was a section about what might have happened to dinosaurs if they had survived. The very last picture in the book was a comparison, a troodon next to the proposed future evolution of a troodon and it was the scariest image I have ever seen. The eyes were really really creepy. It looked like somebody had tried to crossbreed the dinosaur with a grey alien. Compared to that its hard to ever be creeped out by any anthro.

Probably the only gross thing about a real dino-anthro would be shedding feathers.

Oooh, I know the troodon-thing you're talking about! That's been like, a bane to proposed evolutionary paths ever since it came out. It annoys me how humanoid it is! Dinos would have much more evolutionary fashion sense I believe

Yes! Standing upright is not an indication of intelligence. I have no idea what they were thinking when they got rid of the tail. Of course when I saw this thing for the first time I was too young to really follow that kind thought.

Having had a look round the internet for this picture (and only finding a cut down version in google's image cache from a conspiracy theory site), I'm pretty sure that the person who designed it had just been watching too many bad sci-fi shows. Now that I see it again, it looks a lot like a sleestak.

Oh yes, in reply to a comment above, it was definitely the bulbous head that made it look so wierd. It seems that for biology at least, intelligence is always going to have a serious impact on good looks.

That is a very excellent visual. You can really feel the shock from the character. You have great vision.

...But that statement on the anthros crawls under my skin. At least show a little kindness.

Thanks! But do relax- I did not mean to be markedly scathing or whathaveyou, just poking fun. I figure if anthros were somehow made real we'd be unlucky enough that they'd be disturbing instead of beautiful- it's more a comment on the unfairness of life than anything. For example, an animal head would have to be greatly distended to make room for a human brain, resulting in a frightening bulbous appearance.

True. I think there would need to be some genetic crafting involved to make them proportionate and near beautiful. I note the thumbnailed human hands on your character and how they clash so harsly with the reptilian appearace. The whole anthro world is more of a form of expressing inner humanity usually. Those who really wish they were furry are uncommon (but should not be persecuted for their feelings). I'm glad I kept my mood down. I didn't want to hail on someone who did not mean any real harm. Although I predominately draw humans, I have an affinity with the anthro community. As for the cursed irony of life, I do greatly appreciate the expression of that. Truth and reality is unforgiving. Art is the only way we can bend it as well as remind ourselves of it. Nice talking to you.

P.S.
I like your signature quote.
