i've never seen salamanders in real life in this state, with those FANTASTICALLY discusting salad-leaves on their heads. i do not intend to either. the pink bleak skin makes me scared of the dark.

I think the best parts of this pic, to me, which give it the most character, are those flat teeth and the lips, and the vaguely humanlike hands. Also loving the implied size.

But the way you took a normal salamander and turned it into something incredibly creepy with only a few changes in size and color (and for some reason, I'm more disturbed by it's hands then I am by it's eyeless grin. .__.), is simply genius.

Wow. Awesome job on this one. The colors and shading are simply beautiful, setting both a realistic and surreal feel to it at the same time. It reminds me of those documentaries showing life from deep underwater, where a camera would pic up the image of a new, fantastic creature for the very first time.
As always, your imagination and creativity shine forth. Great work.
