Doing the research for this piece was a great nostalgia trip, and reminded me why I was so obsessed with Digimon. I also spent time studying Hosoda's art, since he, in my opinion, holds the definitive peak look for the series.

After watching Last Evolution a few years back, I grew a new appreciation for the good times I was fortunate to have growing up with not just Digimon, but all the properties that shaped my imagination. I also am forever grateful that my job lets me hold on to, and revisit, those good times.

I put off doing a Digimon drawing like this for years because I couldn't figure out a proper layout/composition. But I'm very happy with what I came up with.
