If you can draw a basic cylinder in any angle, then you can draw hands.

In this video, I'll show you a really simple method, using cylinders, that can help you visualize the construction of the hand.

Using the bones of the hand as a guideline, we'll place 3d cylinders in the bone's place. I've done a short demo of what rotating a 3d cylinder looks like at the beginning of this video. Understanding the actual parts of the hand and turning them into simple shapes will also help, down the road, when you need the hands to be holding something, expressing something, or needing to foreshorten the fingers.
