I've often thought real villains be like this. In real life, nobody's going to reveal their plan, or spend a whole 30-minute episode explaining their dark origin story. They're just going to kill you.

I think he's genuinely trying to help. Like, by "killing" her in the dream he expects she'll wake up and everything will be OK. Only I suspect it won't be that easy.

This assumes it's a dream. Also assumes he knows he's in a dream. Also assumes he's a good person, and not just holding a grudge because she doesn't like muffins. That's a lot of assumptions. So far, I've been careful not to use words like "dream" or talk as if I know the motives of these characters for sure. Because in the other comics, "unreal" things might actually be real.

Well, the dream stuff is a pretty safe assumption: it was practically confirmed by Mr. Creepy Ass on page 18.Β And she didn't have a part in the muffin discussion as she was unable to speak at the time, so Top Hat doesn't have any reason to dislike her; at least, none that we know of. I think I'll hold on to my theory for the moment.
