This is something I drew a while ago as my final design for one of the new villains in the comic script series FPR (Which at one point was a full time webcomic but was cancelled for many reasons.)Shaze is first seen in issue 2 at some point and this is what people reading that comic script issue saw but now I'm putting out the full reference and image of him for people to look at.
I was going to shade him, but I didn't have time when I made this and I would shade him now but perhaps I will save that for his actual bio. (If I actually do make it)
If it isn't obvious, Shaze's design is inspired from Darth Vader and General Grievous from Star Wars, as well as Japanese Samurai. And there is one final person who inspired Shaze's design, someone whom we know and either love or hate...

I don't mean it literally, but I'm surprised that you didn't think about Metal Sonic when making this design! It looks like Metal inspired part of the design, too!

It's kinda hard to lend this character to anyone quite yet, since there is somethings yet to be revealed.

With the glowing cranium and the evil looking cape, kinda reminds me of Deathborn.
Doesn't help that DB was kinda ruined in his own game.

just like you said you did take inspiration from Vader and Grevious and I can see what ideas you took from those to. plus the glowy bits remind me of the Tron movies

How this is uniquely designed, you can have shaze switch between FPR and Sonic Z worlds, and he'd blend right in both

When I first saw the horns on his helmet, I figured he was supposed to be some kind of robotic dragon (like Lilac, only mostly metal); this only grew when I read the part about him boosting just like her in their duel.

I can definitely see the Darth Vader inspirations in Shaze's design.

Yep, he originally was going to be more like General Grievous but I scrapped it in favor of a more simpler design that resembles more of a humanoid shape.
Speaking of Shaze, Issue 3 for FPR is being written and I will begin picking scenes that need artwork or should have artwork and do those when I can.
So I'd say the full issue will come out later this month I project. XD

They would prefer to make their own characters, but then again, Lilac, Milla, and Carol were property of someone else (ZiyoLing) and they put them as the main cast for their game.
Maybe in another game, but I highly doubt it.
