The markers help add to the old school charm somehow. It kinda looks like a poster you'd dig up at a store with all those rare goodies you thought you'd never find.

OH HELL FUCKING YEAH!!! This was ALWAYS a favorite of mine...always found it odd how they took his sidekick Rally here, made her a brunette and gave her the spin off "Gunsmith Cats"...(in the GC Manga Riding Bean makes a few cameo's)

Yes, rock on Rally and Bean! I love those shadow effects you've drawn on Bean's face, and that lit/smouldering match is a very nice touch. You've got a neat way of interpreting characters- I like that look you've given Rally, and that intense shading that you've done really sets this pic off. Great work!
