It's just one of those things that bother me, like why don't people in novels ever have to use the bathroom?

I proofread romance novels--you really do not want me to answer that one! There is an element of silliness in all fantasy, art and text (just look how many heroines wear high heeled shoes while battling villains), it really depends on the writer or artist and how well it is done.

Don't get me started on the lunacy of women wearing high heels while doing heroic feats. That's not just an accident waiting to happen, it's one that's fully prepared to happen. One of my favorite stories about this concerns Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire) in "Jurassic World." She said that, in all those scenes where you see her running around in stilettos, she was actually wearing sneakers 'cos she really didn't want to break an ankle (or her neck). The heels were digitally added afterwards.
