The relationship between Niner and Darman that develops over the course of Republic Commando is one of the most personally important aspects of the series to me. I also wanted to try out a different style and made this based on Klimt paintings and Darman’s refusal to abandon Niner at Shinarcan Bridge.
I'm still questioning whether Niner's three-chevrons-disguised-as-claw-marks scar is too on the nose, but oh well, haha.
