Assuming the shoes fit right to begin with and there are no abnormal balance or other health issues, it doesn't take any herculean effort to adapt to standing or walking in heels. It's something one gets used to fairly quickly. It's not like a baton-twirler handing their baton to some random yahoo and telling them to go lead the marching band, or put on a cheerleading outfit and go in front of the stands to do a complicated dance routine that really does take a lot of practice.
(On the flip side, any shoe designer that hands you a shoe with a pin-head heel deserves to be stabbed in the eye with it.)
