Just because something is obvious to sane, reasonable people doesn't mean it shouldn't be mentioned in case of business malpractice.
For some reason, 'reasonable' and 'sane' are qualities severely underrepresented in the corporate boardrooms.

I imagine the conversation after the previous incident went something like:
"Hello? Your candy just changed me into a girl!"
Operator: "We're sorry about that sir, er, ma'am. That particular lot number has been recalled due to a contamination issue."
"A contamination issue?? Am I stuck like this??"
Operator: "Oh no, ma'am, uh, sir! We've been assured the effect isn't permanent and will wear off in a couple of days. Accept our apologies! We value our customers and their feedback! Please accept a replacement chocolate bar for your troubles. I assure you it won't happen again!"
"See that it doesn't!"
