yeah, i just heard the deadline was extended, so i'm going to try to incorporate the Dj Shwann, goh goh, & Soochi scratch pin-ups in one. and thanks for the... wishing... of luck... lol (i was going to say something better. FAIL lol

June 14th. So i got another whole week for this thing. just made a new composition including all the characters. i'll post it soon!

Looking forward to seeing it. Hope you don't mind me suggesting something, though it may be too late to incorporate the idea. I went to Shwann's gallery and checked out the other entries (wow, haha), and it got me thinking: instead of just drawing the various characters in limited poses, it would be great to catch them out of their element, if you will. An example to clarify my meaning: This comic(?) seems to play heavily on the club/music scene given their names. With that in mind, draw the samurai DJ-ing on turntables, Goh-Goh dressed as a go-go dancer atop a platform with lights, or something along those lines. I think that will help you stand out above the others, which begin to look all the same despite their skill level because of the standard formula everyone seems to be using. Again, just something to think about, especially for the next contest you may enter.

that's a great idea, actually. and if i had more time, i'd implement it right this second, lol. but, unfortunately, i gotta move on with this piece. don't got NO more time to add anything else to it. and there needs to be time for colors to be added to it. i was definitely thinking of something like that, tho. i may just mess around with the idea for fun, if Shwann doesn't have a new contest anytime soon. thanks for planting the seed.
