My title looks like a "Planet of The Apes" movie title, lol. Anyways, just a quick sketch i whipped up last night as a possible print for Wizard World Philly this year. Don't know if I'll have time, but I hope to get this badboy inked and colored soon. We'll see.
Loved the movie, by the way. I'll probably see it again this Monday

Nice. Personally, I think "referencing" the movie poster and planning to make it print for sale sort of cheapens the notion of prints, which in theory, have some sort of originality in part from the artist. Taking a current movie poster and just changing the appearance of the characters seems...bland? for lack of a better term. Still nice, but just my two cents.

I see your point. But i still think there's plenty of originality that can come paying "homage" to certain source material. Putting "twists" on tried and true themes and all that. I changed up quite a bit compared to the original poster. And of course the inking and coloring i think will raise the level of the piece as well. I hope you'll reserve judgement until you see the finished product. You may just change your mind after seeing the end result, lol. Thanks for your comment
