Design Topic 5: Each designer can choose ONE (at a time, no mad rush like with the Barbies) to build an outfit around. The outfit must not merely complement or "go with" the accessory, but must INCORPORATE IT as part of a single thought. The outfit and the accessory must look as though they were made to be together.

And so I got to choose among three, and nothing was better than the Balenciaga City Medium Motorcycle Bag ! And it all came down to styling...man...this CHALLENGE WAS TOUGH!!! ESPECIALLY I DON'T LIKE MATCHING...no offense...although, to be honest, i match too sometimes...and we can't avoid that...

Anyway, i took this challenge in a very different approach. Looking at the bag, i examined everything about it. First the name: Balenciaga City Medium Motorcycle Bag. Of course, the name itself gave everything away. Motorcycle (leatherish) City (very urban and glamorous at the same time). Next the detailing. Several buttons, and strings attached. Well, i could have easily incorporated those details on my design, but i didn't want to actually make the design LIKE the bag! Again, i don't like matching. After that...the color: GREEN...not olive, not pine...but APPLE GREEN!!! The coloring part was very tough. As much as i hated the color, i stuck to it, but of course, i did not use the color in my garment. Instead, i chose colors that would complement the color of the bag, so as to emphasize its presence. TO MAKE IT STAND OUT!!!

The entire outfit comprises pretty much of leather, which definitely shows the "motorcycle" side. The fur simply represents glamour and its urban feel.

There yah go! I made a risk, and i hope it's all worth it!

Judges' Comments:
"work: You can't predict it. You can't anticipate it. You simply respond to what is. ceazar's work for the challenge was feminine without being cloying, sexy without being vulgar, and elegant without being precious. The collar kind of looked odd, and we didn't really see the purse in the design. Omiting the challenge, it was great, but you cant'. The purse kind of stood out a bit more, but thankfully the scores prevented him from being out!"
