Actually just grew there last couple days. So that makes them the youngest of the oldest? Really enjoy your comments mina.Β Β

My pleasure. Your posts are amazing. Fiddleheads are delicious to eat.
Just put them in boiling water for 7-10 mins (just to tender) then throw them in to a pan with olive oil and garlic and sautΓ©ed them lightly.
YUM!

Never tried that. Maybe will. Does it make your teeth green?

lol! too funny! Nope! Just don't eat any bracken fern fiddleheads...they contain a carcinogen, not good!

Oh wow, how do I tell the difference? Maybe I just stick with broccoli.

TheΒ Ostrich fern fiddlehead is the one you want to pick. Completely safe to eat and delicious. Tastes like asparagus and broccoli. Highly prized. They grow in the wetter parts of the woods. And really look like fiddleheads.Β

Broccoli it is then. Unless I been in the wetter part of woods for weeks.Β
