I would like to dedicate this picture to , my very first DA watcher/friend, for his birthday today.Happy birthday, dear Doug, may this day always be a special one to remember!

I'm good! I know what you mean though...I had to "go offline" for a bit from dA to focus on personal matters (bought a house, work got crazy, holidays & family, etc etc). A planned absence of a few weeks quickly turned into a few months! Fortunately, things have quieted down a bit and I've been able to shake the dust off my camera, but it's been awhile, so I sort of feel like I lost some of my creative edge during that down time. The only way to fix that is to just keep shooting, right? I'm glad you are well and I look forward to some of your new works. They're always so inspiring

Sorry for my tardy response, Walter. Not much was going on with me and my family. I was busy making some calendars for a few old friends as their birthday/seasonal present.

Yes, I have to agree about conversation! I'm not one for small talk and my mind wanders as soon as someone starts in with it. The people who left the comments on the article tried to read too much into it. Seems to me it was presented at face value rather than in depth... the kind of an article that might lead to stimulating conversation about the article. I go to the gym for most of my conversation. Carol tries to engage me in stimulating conversation at times, but I always wind up taking it to a higher plain and she gets angry at me. She hates the way I answer questions. I tend to give the history, my strong opinion and the possible future of any subject. Working in the sciences was very good for me as I was never at a loss for stimulating conversation. I can't talk about sports(what are they?) and I start ranting when politics get involved. As you know, I have strong opinions about religion too... just as you! So, how are you doing?

True, it's a world of trouble, but it provides an efficient platform for information exchange like no other network, including photo albums, videos, News Feed... And, you actually have a lot of control over the privacy setting, such as customizing it to be only visible to a few selected friends... Anyway, I don't have a physical social network, so I tend to rely on online network to get updated.
