"...
I don't pay attention to the ones who never cared
Find your own direction 'cos there's sweetness in the air
You will be the world to me and I will always be
Dwelling in this happiness, your gift of purity
...
Aahh, you and me will always be
You and me Forever be,
Eternally will always be
You and me
Always be You and me
Forever be, Eternally
It will always be You and me
Forever be, Eternally" -

It's so hard to remember all these flower names; It helps to document them like this!

It'd sort of my specialty so I remember most of them, but I still can't know them all and they are tricky to identify sometimes

This may be my most favorite of yours so far. The red and the green (especially -that- red and -that- green) with the oof background, and the sweet blossoms, perfect, so beautiful, and even very cheerful! Oddly since red is not my most fav flower color. But for this one it indeed is.

Thank you so much, dear Claudia! Your comment reminds me of the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year (Feb 3). Red is found everywhere during Chinese New Year and other holidays and family gatherings, because Red color symbolizes good fortune and joy.

I didn't know red symbolized good fortune and joy. In Chinese designs I especially love a deep rich red on very jet black which is highly enamaled, as in furniture or jewelry or wall decore. My sister refinished some old furniture back in the 60s, and decided to paint it in Chinese colors (like I described), it came out truly gorgeous. They were mostly smaller pieces to accent the theme of her dining room. I think one was a smaller liquour cabinet, another a small table, and I forget what else. Has been so long. And one of the big treats my father would give her and me when we were little, was to take us to Chinatown in SF, go for Chinese dinner and sweets, then buy us a new pair of Chinese silk pjs, usually in red and black or red and gold. Then any time we were going to eat Chinese food at home, usually take-out because back then TV dinners werent quite into vogue nor very good, we'd don our special pjs. Oh and fans. We used to collect fans. I don't know what became of them. I even had an ivory one sent to me specially by my Mumbai pen pal. And silk ones hand painted.

I'm glad Red and Chinese New Year brought back fond memories for you, Claudia! You are lucky to have a warm, loving father! Do you still keep up with your pen pal in far East?

Yes, my Mumbai friend and I have been writing since 1965 and to this day. In fact, just heard from her yesterday. Sadly my father died in 1987. But I'm ok with it now. Lots of happy memories.
At least once in my life I was in marching band in Chinese NY parade. That was in SF. It was fun. All the decorations and fireworks and festivities. But it rained hard the whole time. And we were sopping wet, slipping and sliding, and even instruments got dropped out of hands, mine included. Fortunately it didn't break.
