Description I kinda got this feel that Jack really didn't listen to rules and just did what he felt like, to impress the ladies ;D Kidding...kidding!

Hence why he says "No rules. No responsibilities, it's as good as it sounds!" and why he didn't wanna become a Guardian at first...

Anyway, ENJOY Frosties! Feedback is always appreciated! <3

Requests are open btw if you're interested, just send me a note <3 I'll try and reply as soon as I can

Ha ha ha! Yes, I can just picture him saying that, in the spirit of being a true child of Loki.

Honestly, who else do you think he got his rebel streak, penchant for tricks, and, of course, his ice powers from? Sure, I know he's a former mortal, but I say he's a child of Loki, through and though.

The same thing can be said for Pitch too. And since Loki is one of the most notorious "playboys" in mythology in terms of his dalliances with gods, and with mortals too, Pitch could easily be Jack's elder sibling... if only because of the obvious height difference and ego-centricism a mile wide.

Yes as you do point that out that is a possibility, even thought they are a bit different.

AnaxErik4ever In reply to CeeJayFrost [2013-01-09 15:07:53 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. The differences are apparent, both in world view and in personality. I've seen several takes on how Pitch and Jack see themselves, and each other, but I tend to agree with those who say that Pitch sees himself in Jack and wants to be the mentor to Jack that he never had. Jack sees a reflection of himself if he gives in to darkness, something he doesn't want to be, and feels sorry for Pitch on some subconscious level. And you know what they say about children and their parents: they may say you have your mother's eyes, or your father's knack for bad jokes, but you are never a perfect copy of either of them, even if you take after one more than the other. Therefore, both Jack and Pitch, at least in my mind, are children of Loki, each embodying some qualities of their father but neither being a perfect copy.

Wow...I'm also speechless, that's a very wise way of looking at things, I would have to agree with you on that one, in a rational sense, that would be perfect. They're like mirrors on a wall, reflecting their own traits in each other and also the traits they lack, maybe which is why they also share a rivalry with another, like a sibling rivalry, both wanting what the other has.

I guess some of that understanding comes from being a sibling myself. Especially concerning Pitch as I am the elder of my sister and myself, the whole "mentor figure that I never had" thing and all that. And you notice that even though Pitch seems peeved at Jack's antics with the Guardians of Childhood (That's their full title you know.), he doesn't make any conscious effort to hurt him. Sure, he may taunt him, whisper slanders and doubts Jack doesn't want hear (Even if they are true, on some level.), but never, aside from breaking the Frost staff, does Pitch cause any physical harm to Jack. That shows some respect for Jack, or at least some interest from a self-obsessed party with a martyr complex, in my eyes, furthering the sibling relationship that helps my mind cope with the fact that Pitch is a Loki poser, plain and simple. (I swear. One of the thoughts going through my head when I saw RotG for the first time, concerning Pitch, was 'This guy is trying WAY TOO HARD to be Loki.')

hahah yes! I am also an elder sister to 2 brothers...
And yes, even though there was one bit where Pitch got out his scythe and nearly chopped his head off o.o maybe he knew the Guardians would warn him and he would dodge it?
He did also respect Jack's power and honoured him the thought of "Finally someone knows how to have a little fun"

AnaxErik4ever In reply to CeeJayFrost [2013-01-09 16:22:53 +0000 UTC]

Yes. And you know, funny thing. I was just thinking about the line Pitch says when the Guardians and he face off at the Tooth Palace. "Maybe I want what you have." And us talking about how siblings want what the other has and all... that just clinched it in my mind. I know Pitch was talking about the Guardians as a collective body, and that seems to be the first time he and Jack encountered each other, but something is just eating at me that Pitch knew about Jack before this happened, like some dark "guardian angel" or a seemingly omnipotent grim reaper of sorts (Yes, that Nightmare Scythe is what sparked that image.) And that look he gave Jack as he said, "A neutral party." ? Puh-leez! That just screams "I want to get to know you better.", not the "I could care less about you." vibe his words convey. Yes, I'm a BlackJack fan, sue me. Just like with Thorki, I ship that pairing in all degrees, from bromance/brotherly love to full on couple.
P.S. "What goes better together than cold and dark?" Though I disagree with Pitch's actions, and what they would mean for the world, I agree with this statement. Being born in winter, at 3:11 in the morning, and then having my grandparents get trapped with my parents by a giant snow storm, winter and night have always been big parts of my life. One of my favorite things in the world? Snow showers, in a silent outdoor space, on winter nights, the perfect melding of "cold and dark" in my opinion.

yes and eve though they just met, when he saw Jack at the Tooth Palace he already knew his name and what he looked like "Hang on, is that...Jack Frost?"
And how he got kinda jealous in the street before the fight "For a neutral party you seem to be hanging around a lot with those weirdos!"
And wow what a coincidence! I wish it snowed where I live...

Heh heh heh. That line could've been taken either way. Then again, at his lair at the Earth's core, since they put in the detail of the topographic map, which mirrors North's globe and serves the same purpose, he could spy on their movements.

Heck, Jack used that to his advantage when he went back to free all the little Tooth Fairies. Seeing all the lights go out, while Pitch was having his big moment on the "Dancing With the Stars Global Competition". Did you see what I did there?

Of course, if Jack Frost is taller than me... we'd have to see about that.
