I am glad you like it, the Spring Mountains are just northwest of Las Vegas. Most of my pictures that look like they were taken in a desert were in that area. See especially my tree [link] and the whole rainbow series ones like incoming storm [link] .

Just Northwest of Las Vegas at the Red Rocks National Conservation Area. I highly recommend it if you are in the area and want to see a lot of neat desert mountain areas. Pretty much all of the 'desert' pictures in my gallery are from that area.

I live just down the road from there. I love photographing out at Red Rock Canyon. There is snow out there now.
